My hubby and I couldn’t go out for our last anniversary, because we couldn’t find a babysitter at the last minute. We usually celebrate another year of being happy together with a fancy dinner and some dancing at our favorite romantic restaurant.

To make the best of the situation, I planned a special dinner at home. I let the kids sleep early, with an early supper and then I started working on our home date. I rented a classic movie that we both enjoy, then I prepared all my husband’s favorite dishes. I also set the table with our best silverware and lighted our libby glass candles. We had such a great time even if our previous plans were spoiled. We are thinking about doing the same thing next year!
