homemade laundry detergent

Wash your clothes using an inexpensive and very efficient product. The homemade laundry detergent is environment-friendly because it is made from old-fashioned lye soap, borax, washing soda and Fel Naptha soap. It virtually eliminates the necessity for fabric softeners and is especially great for highly efficient washers.

You need to use only 2 to 3 tbsp per load. It is non-sudsing and works great in cold water. The homemade laundry detergent is available scented or unscented in 1 lb and 5 lb bags. They include a chunk of Fels Naptha as a stain stick. Treat stains by wetting the stick, rubbing it on the stain and laundering as usual.
