regulator wall clocks
Many years ago, railroad depots use clocks that have precise mechanisms to make sure that the trains are ran on schedule. These clocks were called regulator or pendulum clocks and are also often displayed in shop windows so that people passing by can easily check if their watches were keeping good time.
The word regulator was used to show that a clock is accurate and gives split-second accuracy. They were invented in the late 18th century in a quest for greater timekeeping accuracy. These days, regulator wall clocks can also be seen in many homes. They provide old world charm and easily blend in with rustic interior designs.
