I’m amazed at the technology we have today at our homes. Growing up we simply had a TV on a TV stand. There was only one remote control and that was for the TV. Nowadays a TV is placed on top of a media stand. It has cable, a DVD player, a recorder, hi tech sound system and Tivo. A typical home would have at least 2 or 3 remote control devices.

The media stand was created to accommodate all these electronic devices. A simple table won’t do anymore. We have too many machines to turn on just to watch a simple show. What used to be a simple and lazy task has now become complicated. This is probably we have the most cases of obesity. Technology enables us to lie or sit around all day doing nothing.
