cherub figurine

A cherub is an angel depicted as a chubby-faced child with wings. Sometimes it is simply a child’s head above a pair of wings. This is a very popular image that comes in different forms. One of the more recognizable ones is the one done by Raphael, a prominent Italian Renaissance painter. It is the image of two cherubs in a reflective mood. Both have their eyes turned up seemingly looking at something above.

Another representation of the cherub figurine is Cupid. He is the son of Venus in Roman mythology. The symbol of love, he carries a bow and arrow, to shoot at people to make them fall in love. Cherub figurines are great collectibles. More so, because they are available in various poses, some serious, others naughty.
