It used to be that when we go malling, I automatically look for the ladies department or the floor where house wares are on display. The hubby will head to the hardware and car accessories section. This seems to be true to a lot of couples. I found this a practical arrangement until one time when I decided to browse in the hardware store before going to my favorite haunts. Lo and behold, I discovered that hardware stores have lots of items women like me will find interesting.

Products sold in hardware stores have evolved. We don’t just see cans of paint, flooring materials and carpentry tools. We come across door knobs, closet handles and picture frames. These are items that appeal to the woman’s desire to improve the home. We come across stuff that you can install yourself and make friends think a carpenter has labored on it for days. Since then, the hardware section in the mall count as one of the places I always need to explore.
