A bar will also be useful for dinner parties and other occasions when you entertain guests at home. It will save you the time and expense of having to drive into town when craving for a nightcap. A home bar may just be a simple hanging or stand alone cabinet in one corner of the dining room or patio. The important thing is that it contains all the things needed to mix up a mean cocktail or beverage.

A home bar will not be complete without basic liquors and spirits. Load up on gin, vodka, light and dark rum, tequila and whisky. Beer is always in demand. Have a few bottles of different kinds of wine, as well. Aside from the spirits you will have to furnish your bar with bar stools.
