Kids lamps

In one episode of Grey’s Anatomy, Dr Bailey’s son had a serious accident. This led to Dr. Bailey and her husband arguing over somebody leaving the fence door in the room open allowing their son to get out and be hit by a falling cabinet. Dr. Bailey was obviously racked with guilt; reviewing over and over the case of the open fence finally convincing herself that it was her fault.

One lesson that stands out from this episode is that safety in the home; especially where children are concerned is very important. The children’s room can be a veritable source of accidents. Kids lamps should have a sturdy base to prevent it from toppling down. It should be made of materials that are not easily flammable. Toys should be scrutinized carefully before being given to small children. Small loose pieces are dangerous as these can be ingested. Plastic bags should be kept out of children’s reach.
