cooling rack

This Christmas, serve some home-baked cookies to your little guests. Drizzle or dip the treats in melted baking chocolate or chocolate chips. Before starting, put plain, cooled cookies on a cooling rack that is set over a parchment or wax paper-covered sheet pan.

Dip a regular fork into melted chocolate. Allow the first large drop to drip back into the saucepan. Then use back-and-forth motions to drizzle chocolate over cookies. Another way you can do this is to use a plastic bag filled with chocolate icing. Simply cut off the corner and gently squeeze chocolate onto cookies in spirals, zigzags, straight or squiggly lines.
