Thanksgiving dinner is one of our most cherished family events. No matter where we all are (my sister is in Singapore and my brother in Australia) we make it a point to be together on Thanksgiving dinner. We rotate who will host the dinner. The staple of this dinner is the turkey. It doesn’t matter on whose hosting the dinner, it is my dad who will carve the turkey using an electric knife.

In our family an electric knife is as vital as a turkey in Thanksgiving dinner. It makes the slicing of the turkey a lot easier. And since our turkey is always nicely cooked, using an electric knife for slicing doesn’t easily break the turkey’s meat. This way our turkey still looks presentable on our dinner table even if we are already feasting on it.
