Once you have made your choice, your next job is to install your lighting fixture. Simple flush mount ceiling fixtures are easy to install. You will need is a screwdriver, tape measure, wire nuts and your light bulbs of choice. Start by turning off the circuit you will be working on. You should never work on an electrical project with the power on.

Pull the wiring out of the electrical box and straighten the wires. Strip 5/8 of insulation from the ends of the wire. Wrap the black wire to the black wire and the white wire to the white wire. Wire nut these wires together. Place the retaining washer over the threaded tube and thread the retaining nut over the tube until the fixture is snug against the ceiling. Install the light bulbs and place the dome over the fixture. Turn the power on and check if it works.
