Factors to Consider when Choosing Chandeliers

Chandeliers are lighting fixtures that are used to add elegance to the home. It is not a simple pendant light. It is usually made up of many pieces of lighting bulbs that are further enhanced by dangling crystals or other materials that add to its sophisticated look. The chandeliers that we see today are usually powered by electricity. But original chandeliers were made of dozens of candles providing a mellow glow.

Crystal chandeliers are traditionally installed in big function rooms. They have also found their way into the dining rooms of big homes. It is a good idea to study the best place to hang chandeliers. A major consideration is the size of the chandelier to install. Dining room chandeliers that throw bright light straight down onto a person’s face while they are eating will cast unflattering shadows and create glare. Too many lights can also add to the heat in the room.
