Buy or Make your Own Bonsai Tree

People are always looking for something unique to decorate their homes. The challenge is in finding something that will complement the design of the house as well as the furniture in it. Low furniture, for example, will enhance the look of a Japanese style home. There should be more open spaces and less clutter. A lily pond will look great in the garden; but an artificial bonsai in a pot can be used to decorate the dining table.

An artificial bonsai tree will make a good enough alternative for people who do not have the time or the green thumb to do all the crafting and maintenance of a real bonsai tree. You can get a readymade artificial tree from your friendly florist; or you can fashion one from a few materials. You will need a shallow pot, copper wiring, decorative rocks, some glue and artificial foliage and flowers. You can pick a wooden branch from your garden to act as the trunk. An easy way to assemble your bonsai tree is to copy the form from a picture. You will need to stand the trunk on the pot, cover it with stones and glue foliage and flowers according to your model.
