phalaeonopsis orchid

Living in the tropics has its advantages. We take for granted the greenery around us. We don’t think twice about the supply of oxygen that we get from foliage planted directly on the ground or in beautiful pots around the house. Not everybody is blessed with a climate where sun and rain come in just the right combination. When disadvantaged in these aspects, artificial plants and flowers are welcome alternatives.

It is amazing how a pot of artificial phalaeonopsis orchid can look so natural. We often joke about these artificial flowers looking more natural than the live ones. But it is sometimes true. And we credit skilled artisans who spend time and resources to fashion imitation plants from silk, plastic or natural materials.
